Modern approaches in education technology, which make use of advanced resources such as electronic books, infographics, and mobile applications, are progressing to improve education quality and learning levels, especially during the spread of the coronavirus, which resulted in the closure of schools, universities, and all educational facilities. To adapt to new developments, students’ performance must be tracked in order to closely monitor all unfavorable barriers that may affect their academic progress. Educational data mining (EDM) is one of the most popular methods for predicting a student’s performance. It helps monitoring and improving students’ results. Therefore, in the current study, a model has been developed so that students can be informed about the results of the computer networks course in the middle of the second semester and 11 machine algorithms (out of five classes). A questionnaire was used to determine the effectiveness of using infographics for teaching a computer networks course, as the results proved the effectiveness of infographics as a technique for teaching computer networks. The Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) educational platform was used to present the course because of its distinctive characteristics that allow interaction between the student and the teacher, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the different methods of classification in data mining were used to determine the best practices used to predict students’ performance using the weka program, where the results proved the effectiveness of the true positive direction of functions, multilayer perceptron, random forest trees, random tree and supplied test set, f-measure algorithms are the best ways to categories.

Since the creation of the European Higher Education Area EHEA in 1999, the development of new teaching models, in which the student takes responsibility for their learning, has been favoured. In this educational context, pedagogical leadership, understood as that oriented to the improvement of student achievement and performance, is presented as a response capable of promoting and improving both the quality of Higher Education and the teachinglearning processes. This study is intended to analyse the incidence of pedagogical leadership in Higher Education institutions from the most current scientific literature. Pedagogical leadership can be defined as a leadership that will have an influence on the student's performance. For this, a systematic review was carried out in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. 17 of the 288 articles reviewed were accepted. Therefore, the representation in the scientific literature of leadership aimed at improving student performance in Higher Education is still limited and incipient. As main contributions, the need to incorporate this leadership model in Higher Education institutions is highlighted, as an element of change and improvement of quality in them, as well as to evaluate the results obtained after its incorporation in Higher Education.

La gestión del conocimiento en las instituciones de educación superior es un área de investigación cuyo desarrollo se ha incrementado en los últimos diez años. Los Sistemas de Gestión de Conocimiento (SGC) permiten implementar las soluciones para atender las brechas de conocimiento mediante proyectos. Con esta investigación fundamentada en una de revisión de literatura hermenéutica, se analizan modelos de gestión de conocimiento prescriptivos o híbridos para instituciones de educación superior y metodologías generales de implementación de sistemas de gestión de conocimiento. Con base en los resultados de este análisis se propone una metodología de implementación de proyectos de sistemas de gestión de conocimiento con un enfoque ágil e incremental y considerando las recomendaciones del estándar ISO 30401 sobre requerimientos de SGC. Se integran en la metodología propuesta otras metodologías propias de la disciplina de gestión de conocimiento como la auditoría de conocimiento y la evaluación de madurez de gestión del conocimiento, así como otras metodologías de análisis, diseño y desarrollo de soluciones.
