The Role of Intratumor Microbiomes in Cervical Cancer Metastasis

“…Moreover, a cohort analysis in patients with metastatic cervical cancer revealed that an intratumoral microbiome signature comprising of Robiginitomaculum, Microbispora, Klebsiella, and Micromonospora was correlated with increased expression of the surface receptors PD-1 and CTLA-4, and the egl-9 family hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (EGLN1), as well as with worse disease prognosis.
