Abstract:Type 1 diabetes mellitus is a chronic autoimmune disease with a onset in childhood and adolescence. Neurological disorders are among the most frequent complications of type 1 diabetes mellitus and might lead to cognitive impairment termed as diabetic encephalopathy.
