The role of genes and myokines of developing sarcopenia: A review

Abstract: Sarcopenia is associated with progressive generalized skeletal muscle weakness, persistent decline in muscle strength, function, and quality of life in the elderly population. The presence of sarcopenia worsens the prognosis of older patients.
