The Role of Circulating Antigen and Autoantibody in Diagnosing Ovarian Cancer

Abstract

This review will focus on recent knowledge related to circulating autoantigens and autoantibodies in ovarian carcinoma diagnosis. Since autoantigens and autoantibodies have been identified in the circulation of patients with early-stage cancer, it has been speculated that the assessment such panel specific for ovarian carcinoma might hold great potential as a novel tool for early diagnosis of ovarian carcinoma.
