Information technology in education has triggered a change in “psychology” learning, and dual-line integrated learning will become an important form of learning in the future. The impact of information technology on education has led to changes in psychological learning, and dual-line integrated learning will become a crucial form of learning in the future. Then, based on the FuzzyCDF model of fuzzy set theory, the students’ psychology cognition, learning ability, and knowledge mastery were tested to assess the student’s cognitive level and learning effectiveness of psychology courses. Then, we analyzed the effect of dual-line integration teaching, evaluated the teaching recognition and cognition of students in different grades, and explored in depth the effects of online and offline integration teaching on students’ learning attitude, learning anxiety, self-efficacy, and academic performance. Comparative analysis was used to analyze the impact of psychology course education on students’ mental health. The results showed that the student’s recognition of the dual-line integration learning mode was all above 3.7, the correlation of the online and offline learning mode on the dimensions of students’ learning attitude, self-efficacy, and academic achievement were all between (0.12,0.65), and the negative correlation on students’ learning anxiety. Psychoeducators in colleges and universities can benefit from this study in developing effective teaching strategies and improving the quality of psychology courses for college students.

This qualitative study explored language brokers’ conceptualizations of their roles and responsibilities within the family in Sydney, Australia. Semi-structured interviews were carried out to obtain retrospective accounts of language brokering experiences from 14 self-identified language brokers, 10 females and four males aged between 19 to 49 years (Mean age = 31) who started brokering between ages 7 to 16 ( M = 11). Participants were from varied ethnic and socio-cultural backgrounds (Turkish, Lebanese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Chinese and Greek/German). Thematic analysis identified three primary themes: “Hidden Carers: When Parent-Child Roles are Reversed”; “Lost Childhoods: Personal Sacrifice for the Good of the Family”; and “Protecting Parents: Language Brokers as Custodians of Information.” Findings revealed that language brokering constitutes a form of hidden caregiving that carries with it several ramifications for the individual and their family. These findings have important implications for future research and policymakers working towards developing culturally responsive interventions that improve the health and wellbeing of language brokers and the resettlement experiences of migrants and their families.

In many immigrant families, children often learn the language and culture of the host society quicker than adult immigrants. Consequently, children serve as language brokers, translating and interpreting face-to-face communication. The aim of this paper is to present a study based on 19 qualitative in depth interviews with young adults reporting on how they felt and managed their emotions when acting as language brokers in their childhood and adolescence. The study shows the key role that emotions play in the Child Language Brokering experience and how the relationships that the broker establishes with their immediate context (family, teachers, and the community) is intrinsically related to how they assess the experience. It also shows that emotions had an impact on how brokers modulate the message they rendered, especially when they had to deal with sensitive topics. This research proves the importance of the first-person retrospective narratives of the protagonists, which allows to give a voice to a highly invisible group.
