The Role of Agriculture in Integratëd Rural Dëvelopment Projects: The Experience of the World Bank

Abstract: SUMMARY A deliberate shift in the World Bank's policy over the past six years has resulted in a widening and deepening of lending for agriculture and, in particular, for rural development programs, defined as programs with an antipoverty focus, targeted toward benefiting small farmers.
