Abstract: Lung diseases triggered by endogenous or exogenous factors have become a major concern, with high morbidity and mortality rates, especially after the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Inflammation and an over-activated immune system can lead to a cytokine cascade, resulting in lung dysfunction and injury.
