The Right of Falling Ill

Abstract: There are people who never permit themselves to fall ill. This negative illness is called by the present author: counter-hypochondriasis. Several defense mechanisms in counter-hypochondriasis are described, especially in relation to infantile roots. Pathological health is considered as a neurotic symptom formation in which disorders in object relationship are all-important.
