“…Despite theoretical knowledge of the difficulties Chinese parents of autistic children can face when interacting with teachers and schools, there is virtually no research examining their experiences in Australia. Recent research has explicitly articulated how positive relationships between teachers and Chinese parents can be a source of parental support as well as ensuring autistic children’s success in schools (Zhao & Fu, 2022 ), so finding out how to foster positive parent-teacher relationships is important for several reasons.
