The Resilience of Entrepreneurship during the COVID-19 Pandemic: Evidence from Successful Entrepreneurs in Vietnam

Abstract

Nowadays, one of the biggest global concerns is the recovery of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) after the COVID-19 pandemic, as it has caused severe consequences to many of these businesses, leading to organization collapses and closures. To overcome this crisis, SMEs need to adapt to the new reality and plan for change. This study examines the resilience of SMEs in the post-COVID-19 context by exploring entrepreneurship, innovation adaptation and networking relationships. The authors have collected data from 100 SMEs in Northern Vietnam, with 21 questions for entrepreneurs who have experienced the pandemic. The responses were extremely positive, and the Smart PLS analysis of the SEM model showed a feasible research model with an R-squared value of 0.674, Cronbach alpha of 0.6 81 and composite reliability. The chosen factors were closely related to each other, and their relationship was quite consistent.
