“…Health indicators can be used to design, evaluate, and refine public health policies [ 31 ]. Moreover, these indicators let medical and administrative personnel evaluate the changing reality of each territory and, therefore, to choose with precision the logistic and medical phase to implement, for example, the different phases of de-escalation of the containment measures aimed at stopping the spread of the Sars-CoV-2 virus [ 32 ]. For that reason, studies like the present one should be performed to elucidate the pandemic effect on the health services and patients’ profile.…”

However, to provide the adequate telehealth services, the health professionals should be able to adapt to the changed work environment and should be productive and thrive in general [ 33 , 34 ].…”

In the literature about patients’ perception of telemedicine, the lack of comfort during the use of such technologies by patients and providers has been pointed as the primary reasons for scarce utilization of them, besides financial issues ( Hawrysz et al, 2021 ). Patients’ satisfaction with telemedicine has been found high and mostly dependent on trust in the provider in relation to the amount of time spent for video consultation.…”

“…Some researchers tend to equate access to a delivery system (for example, distribution and volume regarding the medical workforce and medical facilities, availability of providers and health facilities). Others argue that access can best be assessed using performance indicators for a patient's passage through the system, such as utilisation rates or satisfaction scores [24,38,39].…”
