The research of carrying capacity of reinforced concrete walls under uneven warming

Abstract: The purpose of this article was to determine the dependence of the values of the boundary of the fire resistance of the bearing walls on the temperature dispersion on their heating surfaces as a scientific basis for improving the efficiency of the evaluation of the results of fire tests. In this paper, the problem of strength was determined to determine the bearing capacity of a reinforced concrete wall in a fire. During work, computational experiments using CFD and the finite element method were used. As a re… Show more

“…This work is a continuation of the cycle of works, in particular [4,5], where a small-sized installation is used for conducting experiments to study the thermal effect of a fire on building structures, as well as works [8,9], which note the influence of the uniformity of heating of the investigated structure during its fire resistance tests. This work shows and analyzes the results of experiments on heating a small-sized element of a reinforced concrete beam according to the standard fire temperature regime.…”

“…There are known methods of testing for fire resistance [2][3][4], which are that samples of building structures should be tested under load. These standards allow testing without loading of samples of building structures with fire-retardant coating and cladding, as well as without loading samples of reinforced concrete structures, for which it is impossible to reproduce the load conditions in the laboratory adopted in the calculation scheme due to technical reasons.…”

“…Work [15] established the dependence of the limit values of building structures' fire resistance on temperature dispersion at their heating surfaces. Paper [16] analyzed the temperature regimes of fire that are different from the standard one.…”
