The aim of this paper is to define the lexical cohesion in the dialogue. The focus of this paper is the repetition that happens frequently in the dialogue. The dialogue is taken from the talk shows downloaded from youtube. The analysis is given based on the data from the dialogue of the speakers and draw the conclusion. This study brings benefits in building the perception of the audiences. From the data that has been analyzed, it has been found that the speakers tend to repeat the word, phrase, or sentence because they want to strengthen their opinion, eventhough from the sentence structure the repetition is not good and eficient. The result of the study also show that there are some reasons why do the speakers repeat their word. phrase or sentence such as to strengthen their opinion.

AbstrakArtikel ini mengeksplorasi representasi aktor sosial pada pemerintah Indonesia dan Australia mengenai Kemitraan Perdagangan dan Ekonomi melalui pendekatan Analisis Wacana Kritis dari Leeuwen. Permasalahan kemitraan yang merupakan fokus kedua pemerintahan selama kurun 2014-2018 terpublikasi dalam media berbahasa Inggris the Jakarta Post. Analisis Wacana Kritis digunakan sebagai pendekatan untuk mengkaji strategi media terkait eksklusi dan inklusi aktor sosial. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, hasil menunjukkan bahwa strategi inklusi lebih dominan dipergunakan. Penggunaan strategi inklusi mengarah kepada spesifikasi, individualisasi dan kategorisasi reaksi positif dan dukungan the Jakarta Post terhadap pemerintah Indonesia dalam masalah kemitraan perdagangan dan ekonomi antara Indonesia dan Australia. Sementara, penggunaan strategi eksklusi bertujuan untuk menyembunyikan aktor sosial dalam pewacanaan dan cenderung mengarahkan perhatian pembaca lebih pada objeknya, daripada subjek pewacanaan. AbstractThis study explores the representation of social actors, both in the Indonesian and Australian governments on the Trade and Economic Partnership through Critical Discourse Analysis approach. The issue focuses on both governments partnership published in the Jakarta Post during 2014-2018. Using Critical Discourse Analysis as an approach, this article analyses the media exclusion and inclusion strategies of social actors. By applying descriptive qualitative methods, result shows that the dominant strategy is the inclusion strategy. The use of inclusion strategy indicates specifications, individualization and categorization of positive reaction and support of The Jakarta Post towards the Indonesian government on trade and economic partnership between Indonesia and Australia. However, the use of exclusion strategy is aim to hide the social actors in the discourse and to divert reader's attention to the object rather than the subject discourse. position themselves into bilateral relationship. These results may be a basis from both countries to act into their foreign political policy.

The way political protests and civil (dis)order are reported in news discourse has been of interest to critical linguists (e.g. Brindle, 2016: Hart, 2014. Representations of an event in the media are typically influenced by political stances of news institutions and therefore representations of the same protest can be different in different news media, depending on the ideological framework in which they operate. This present study differs from the previous research in the sense that its data are taken from several news media in the country where the protest occurs or local newspapers, and from international or foreign newspapers which seem to have less political motives. It aims to investigate the representation of a blasphemy protest in Jakarta in both local and international press by using transitivity and van Leewuen's social actor representation (SAR) model. The data were taken from five Indonesian news texts and five International news articles. The findings suggest that the International newspapers have a tendency to delegitimate the protest by portraying it as discrimination towards minorities and a benefit for terrorist groups. Additionally, they construct the protesters as extremists and a source of clashes and violence. On the other hand, although the Indonesian news media also appear to delegitimate the protest and the protesters, the constructions are not as radical as the foreign media.
