“…As propensity to trust is less predictive of trustworthiness perceptions over time (Alarcon et al, 2016), future research may also investigate the predictive utility of suspicion propensity, controlling for propensity to trust, over time. As recent research has investigated the role of individual differences on trustor-trustee relations (Naber, Payne, & Webber, 2018), future work should investigate how trustor propensity to trust and suspicion propensity influences social interactions with trustees who may or may not share similar propensities to trust or be suspicious. Research such as this would help to clarify how individual differences relevant to the trust process influence social interactions between like and unlike partners working together.…”
