“…Piedzīvojot bērnībā traumatisku notikumu, ēšanas traucējumu simptomi var darboties kā adaptēšanās mehānisms traumatiskajam notikumam, lai novērstu gan sociālo tukšumu, gan pēctraumas atmiņas (Vrabel et al, 2010). Turcijā veiktajā pētījumā studentiem, kuri bērnībā bija saskārušies ar traumatisku pieredzi, tā bija saistīta tieši ar negatīvu ēšanas uzvedību un neapmierinātību ar ķermeņa tēlu (Arabaci et al, 2021).
