College students need to face various problems and conflicts, and are prone to many negative emotions, such as depression, low self-esteem, social anxiety, low sense of belonging, lack of self-identity, and so on. The generation of these bad emotions will bring unexpected negative effects to college students. Taking Chinese college students as the research object, this study analyzes the influence of sports participation on inferiority. Furthermore, we explored whether self-esteem and general self-efficacy mediated the relationship between physical activity and inferiority. In this study, 115 students were selected to conduct the experiment for 12 weeks. After reliability testing, the collected data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance to verify the research model. The results show that sports has a significant positive correlation with the reduction of college students’ inferiority complex. What is important in this model is that self-esteem and general self-efficacy are enhanced during physical activity and decreased during inferiority complex. In addition, this study created three sports situations: competition group, entertainment group and control group. The comparison results show that competitive sports situation is better than leisure sports situation in terms of the influence on college students’ inferiority complex. Through the theoretical and empirical research on college students’ inferiority complex, it is concluded that sports is an effective means to reduce college students’ inferiority complex.

ObjectiveIn the process of college students’ employment, psychological capital, and social support play a vital role.MethodsThis study examined the relationship between career expectation and employment anxiety of Chinese vocational art college students (N = 634). Participants completed the Career Expectation Scale (CES), Employment Anxiety Scale (EAS), Psychological Capital Scale (PCS), and Social Support Scale (SSS).Results(1) Vocational art students’ career expectation has a positive predictive effect on employment anxiety, social support, and psychological capital; Social support and psychological capital have negative predictive effects on employment anxiety. (2) Social support and psychological capital play a significant chain intermediary role between career expectation and employment anxiety, and there is a masking effect.ConclusionThese results are of guiding significance to the improvement of the employment quality of art students in higher vocational colleges and the employment consulting work in colleges.

Purpose With the rapid development of media network technology, college students’ exercise is influenced by the use of fitness apps. How to improve the impact of fitness apps on college students’ exercise is a current research hotspot. The purpose of this study was to explore the influence mechanism of fitness apps usage intensity (FAUI) on college students’ exercise adherence. Methods A large sample of Chinese college students (N=1300) completed measures by using the FAUI Scale, Subjective Exercise Experience Scale, Control Beliefs Scale and Exercise Adherence Scale. SPSS22.0 and Hayes PROCESS macro for SPSS were used to conduct statistical analysis. Results (1) FAUI was positively associated with exercise adherence ( p < 0.01); (2) Subjective exercise experience ( p <0.01) mediated the relationship between FAUI and exercise adherence; (3) Control beliefs ( p <0.01) moderated the relationship between FAUI and exercise adherence as well as subjective exercise experience and exercise adherence. Conclusion The findings reveal the correlation between FAUI and exercise adherence. Furthermore, this study is important in investigating how FAUI is related to exercise adherence in Chinese college students. The results suggest that college students’ subjective exercise experience and control beliefs may be prime targets for prevention and intervention programs. Thus, this study explored “how” and “when” FAUI may enhance college students’ exercise adherence.
