The relationship between public support and degree of novelty of innovation in Brazil

Abstract: This paper investigates the association between public support and degree of novelty of innovation in Brazil. We examine empirically two kinds of public funding, for R&D and for general activities (including R&D). The data source is edition of Brazilian Innovation Survey (PINTEC 2008 and 2011). The study provides evidence that both public support are related to the degree of novelty of innovation.
