Abstract. This service aims to improve the quality of life of the female members of Aisyiyah Karangwaru, most of whom are over 40 years old. Degenerative disease can affect a person's quality of life. The formation of health cadres in the Aisyiyah Branch is intended to prevent and early detect degenerative diseases among Aisyiyah Karangwaru members. General health and dental health consultation was carried out, as well as simple blood tests, namely blood sugar, uric acid and cholesterol, and training for the health cadres.

The process of decreasing physical, psychological, and social conditions that interact with each other and cause dependence on others is called the aging process. The aging process can cause problems both physically, biologically, mentally, and socioeconomically. Decreased physical ability can cause disruption in the fulfillment of daily activities that require the support of others or family. Family support is a form of interpersonal relationship that requires very strong family ties to help the elderly face problems as proof that the family is the closest person to the elderly. The purpose of this literature review is to determine the relationship between family support and the independence of the elderly in fulfilling their daily activities. This study has been reviewed from 16 articles, consisting of 8 national journals and 8 international journals, to determine the relationship between family support and the independence of the elderly in daily activities. The journal examined showed the results of a very significant relationship between family support and the independence of the elderly in meeting the needs of daily activities.

Background: Coping, an essential intermediary variable of psychological stress, may affect the process of disease, and alongside family function, has also been linked to patient quality of life. However, these have not yet been investigated in older adults with hypertension. Objective: To investigate the correlation between medical coping modes and family function, and the associated factors among older adults with hypertension in China. Methods: This cross-sectional study included 341 patients (135 men, 206 women) with a mean age of 75.16. Participants were recruited from three hospitals in China, the Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire and the Family APGAR Index Scale were used to collect dada. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression analysis in SPSS 26.0. Results: Medical coping ability included three dimensions: Confrontation (19.42±3.83), avoidance (14.37±3.02), acceptance– resignation (9.19±2.09), and family function (7.47±1.47) were insufficient in older adults with hypertension; further, family function was positively correlated with the confrontation dimension (p<0.05), and negatively correlated with the acceptance– resignation dimension (p<0.05). Conclusion: Improving family function among older adults with hypertension could enhance confrontation and reduce acceptance–resignation. Family-centered intervention measures may assist in promoting coping ability and healthy behaviors among older adults with hypertension.
