“…Psychological processes in the individual are rooted in past and present cultural contexts; therefore, it is important to take religious culture in terms of particular belief systems and behaviors (e.g., frequency of participation in personal or group religious activities) into account in psychological studies of religious experience (Ashton and Lee, 2013).
