The relation between partial defoliation during the preheading stages of spring cabbage and yield, as a method to assess the quantitative damage induced by leaf‐eating insects

Abstract: The relation between artificial defoliation, simulating insect injury to the leaves, and yield was studied in spring cabbage cv. “Extra vroege spitse” to obtain information on the threshold values to be used in this crop. Two field trials, set up as randomized block designs with six replicates were situated on a clay soil.
