The reinforcement effects of deep soft soil foundation with high degree of saturation under dynamic compaction

Abstract: The dynamic compaction method is effective to reinforce soft soil foundation with a low degree of saturation. However, deep soft soil foundation with high degree of saturation has some different characteristics. It has been widely considered that dynamic compaction method is unsuitable to improve the characters of deep soft soil foundation with high degree of saturation. In this article, we will show that the dynamic compaction method with vacuum well-point dewatering is effective to deep soft soil foundation … Show more

“…The dynamic compaction method could combine with the chemical electroosmosis method, wellpoint precipitation method and other methods. It could effectively solved the problem of the poor effect of the dynamic compaction in strengthening individual soil foundations, providing new methods and ideas for the treatment of various types of foundation soil by the dynamic compaction method [13][14][15].…”
