The rectifier calculus

Abstract

Synopsis: The more involved rectifiercircuit problems, now becoming important because of the increasing magnitude of recti fier loads, can be most readily solved by the rectifying mathematical operator presented in this paper. Even with the more elemen tary problems, the final numerical computa tions are more simple in form than is usually obtained when conventional methods are used, since a lesser number of integrals and trigonometric functions are involved. In this paper, application is made to various rectifiers supplied with unbalanced powerline electromotive forces; also some ele mentary applications of the more simple formulas are included.
