Die Umsetzung des Silyldichloromethyllithiums (I) mit Trialkylboranen (II) führt zu Boranen (III), aus denen durch oxidative Spaltung der Kohlenstoff‐Bor‐Bindung Carbinole (IV) er‐, halten werden, die durch anschließende Oxidation mit Jones‐Reagens in Ketone (V) umgewandelt werden können.
