The Rasch Analysis of Students’ Characteristics in Physics Concept Understanding Improvement through Challenge-Based Learning

Abstract: Concept mastery is one of the main goals in the learning process. This study aimed to analyze the improvement of students’ physics concept mastery by implementing challenge-based learning with Edmodo-assisted learning. This study used mixed methods with an embedded experimental model research design. The research sample was 10th-grade students in a public vocational school’s food crops and horticulture agribusiness program. Data analysis employed the Rasch model with the help of ministeps software version 4.1.… Show more

“…In addition, the skills of students to explain the results of group discussions are still very low, as well as the lack of creativity of students to make a project to achieve the goals of current learning (Aisyah et al, 2023;Novianti et al, 2023;Sukmawati, 2023). According to Aldeya (2019), students can present an idea in another form that is not the same as in the textbook provided they have the capacity to describe concepts (Bohori et al, 2022), identify them, and provide instances or non-examples of them. Therefore, in order to assist students in learning for particular objectives, we need a learning model that can offer a systematic explanation of how to execute learning (Maryana & Sukmawati, 2021;Sukmawati, 2018;Sukmawati et al, 2021b).…”
