Abstract:Introduction: Gastric ulcer (GU) is the most common gastrointestinal tract disorder, representing about 20% of peptic ulcer due to an imbalance between gastric defense mechanisms and aggressive factors, mainly Helicobacter pylori and non-steroidal anti-infl ammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
