The prognostic value of the serum inflammatory biomarkers in patients with carotid atherosclerosis

Abstract: 20 % of ischemic stroke appear to originate from carotid artery atherosclerotic disease. Serum biomarkers reflecting the activity of atherosclerotic process and may help for estimate risk of acute cerebrovascular events.
