The Prognostic Role of Anemia in Heart Failure Patients

Abstract: Anemia is frequently observed in heart failure (HF) patients. The aim of this prospective study was to assess if it is an independent predictor of outcome or a marker of a worse clinical condition in these patients. The study included 134 heart failure patients aged over 18 years. The patients were divided into two groups, according to the presence or absence of anemia at hospital admission.
