The Process and Practice of the Teaching Profession and their Implications for a Teaching Council

Abstract: The characteristics of a teaching profession and the implications of initiatin g a teaching council in Lesotho are examined. Problems likely to interfere with the initiation / establishment of such an institutio n are discussed.
