“…A similar overall prevalence of SUI of 25% was observed in a small study of women studying nursing. 13 In women aged 50–59 years of age in the current analysis, the prevalence was highest at 30%, and SUI remained at high prevalence at 26–27% in women over 60 years old. In another large study from the USA, UK and Sweden, SUI occurred at high percentages in more than 4000 female patients; SUI from laughing, sneezing and coughing occurred in 55.9% of female patients and SUI from physical activities occurred in 28.3% of patients.…”

“…Some researchers suggest that the age of most SUI sufferers is indeed in the fi fth decade. 8 The same thing was stated that women aged 50 to 54 years had a 1.81 chance of severe incontinence compared to women who were 40 years old (95% CI, 1.66-1.97) 9 . The odds are increasing to 2.8 times and 3.4 times at the age of 50 and 60 years 10 .…”

“…Pelvic organ prolapse (POP), defined as "the descent of one or more: the anterior vaginal wall, the posterior vaginal wall, the uterus (cervix), or the apex of the vagina (vaginal vault or cuff scar after hysterectomy), is a condition which is frequently associated with UI, probably due to similar risk factors and causes of the occurrence [1,3,4,[6][7][8][9][10][11]. It is considered that up to 50% of women with POP also have symptomatic SIU [9].…”
