Abstract

Evidence is presented which shows that the fine structure of a tunable sum frequency reported earlier by the authors can be attributed to the action of three pump frequencies, two of which are stimulated Raman emissions from the trapping liquid. T h e variation of sum frequency power with the length of the non-linear crystal tends to confirm the existence of three pump frequencies.t This paper is published by permission of the Controller of H.M.
