Abstract: Busulfan is hepatically metabolized through glutathione (GSH) conjugation; in vitro, this process depletes hepatocyte GSH stores and generates the cytotoxic metabolite γ‐glutamyldehydroalanylglycine (EdAG), which is too unstable to be quantitated in vivo.
