Abstract: Increasing data including ours have suggested that proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9), a novel regulator of cholesterol metabolism, may also play an important role in the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and is associated with clinical outcomes in diabetic patients.
