Abstract: Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection, and its morbidity and mortality rates are increasing annually. It is an independent risk factor for intensive care unit-acquired weakness (ICU-AW), which is a common complication of patients in ICU.
