The Performance Comparison of Third Generation (3g) Technologies for Internet Services in Bangkok

Abstract: Like other countries, users in Thailand demand to experience the highest possible level of quality of 3G services. In contrast, operators prefer to obtain maximum revenue. To facilitate these needs, this paper proposes two conceptual frameworks for (1) performance testing (QoS measurement) and (2) network optimization. The network optimization framework consists of KPI definition, network performance monitoring, parameter tuning, and optimized network processes; while the network performance monitoring process… Show more

“…A fault-tolerant system continues its functionality toward achieving a specified goal in the presence of faults. However, the absence of a fault-tolerant capability is a consequential loss, particularly to critical service systems dependent on web services for service provisions (Laranjeiro et al, 2008;Peng & Huang, 2014;Chimmanee & Jantavongso, 2016;Dahling et al, 2021). Succinctly, related studies on fault-tolerant approaches and mechanisms, performance of fault-tolerant mechanisms, and their reports were explored to guide the study's focus.…”

“…Conceptual frameworks for performance testing and network optimization that would enable operators in Thailand to optimize their network performance was developed by Chimmanee & Jantavongso (2016). This involved the QoS measurements of the services (e.g.…”
