Abstract: There was an outbreak of Dengue fever on September 5, 2019, in Hainan Province, which has not been endemic for 28 years. We aim to describe the clinical and epidemiological features of the 2019 outbreak in Hainan Province and identify the cause. “…This indicates that we have achieved notable results in the prevention and control of infectious diseases in China, which is consistent with the results of previous studies [43]. According to the research analysis, the fact that the four provinces have not seen a decline in the incidence of Class B notifiable infectious diseases may be mainly related to their special geographical location and climatic conditions [44][45][46][47][48][49]. In spite of a certain economic boost in Tibet, a border region in the southwest, the increasing trade flows results in the bigger size of the mobile population, which leads to the problem of new and traditional infectious diseases and their increasingly prominent crossborder transmission.…”

“…Although the methods for cryopreparation of sample and computational methods for data analysis and reconstruction go back all the way to the 1980s, atomic resolution could not be achieved for asymmetric structures until the development of novel single-electron-detecting cameras [3][4][5] and their commercial introduction in 2012. It is fortuitous [6], in hindsight, that the technique was ready in time to help in the combat against several viruses implicated in recent deadly epidemics -Ebola (2014-2016) [7][8][9], Zika (2015-2016) [10,11], dengue (2019-2020) [12][13][14][15][16], MERS-CoV (2012-2015) [17][18][19][20], and now SARS-CoV-2.…”
