The opposition to the Brazilian dictatorship abroad through cartoons and caricatures (1964-1979)

Abstract: Graphic humor can make a strong contribution to understanding the struggles between the state and other political forces whose words were limited by state repression in times of "emergency". This struggle was also waged from exile, as cartoons published in international newspapers and magazines became strong weapons to expose crimes perpetrated by the military.
