Abstract: In the study the first case of aberrant coloration, namely xanthochroism or xanthism in the thinlip grey mullet Chelon ramada (Teleostei: Mugilidae) was reported. The specimen was caught by a purse seiner in November 2019 in İzmir Bay, Aegean Sea and was a female, with mature ovaries which indicate that it had been in a spawning migration or activity in the sampling date.
