The Number of Confirmed Cases of Covid-19 by using Machine Learning: Methods and Challenges

Abstract: Covid-19 is one of the biggest health challenges that the world has ever faced. Public health policy makers need the reliable prediction of the confirmed cases in future to plan medical facilities. Machine learning methods learn from the historical data and make predictions about the events. Machine learning methods have been used to predict the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19. In this paper, we present a detailed review of these research papers. We present a taxonomy that groups them in four categories.… Show more

“…In MFND, we will discuss MFND-IND and MFND-ALL, respectively. In MFND-IND, a subset that is considered relatively simpler than other datasets [ 1 , 2 ], which can be observed in Figure 4 a. The performance gaps among methods are not significant, and the performance is gradually improved as the networks going deeper also the structures becoming more complex.…”

“…Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) put several challenges to the communication technologies due to strict requirements on quality of the connection and, specially, on reliability [ 1 ]. In addition, connectivity is also at risk due to physical scenario with open air and long distances between nodes, whereas one positive feature for assuring good quality of transmission is the low number of physical obstacles in the air.…”

“…For pathological images of breast cancer, brain cancer, and lung cancer, there have been many examples of using deep convolutional network models for feature extraction and sample representation, and good results have been achieved [ 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 , 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 ].…”
