The need for epidemiological research on eating disorders in Africa and the Caribbean

Abstract: The eating disorders field acknowledges the need to include diverse populations in research. Although global diversity has increased in epidemiologic research, there is still a significant lack of research in Africa and the Caribbean. The objectives of this article are to highlight knowledge gaps in these regions and make recommendations to improve future research.
