The probability P (∆∆) to find the ∆∆ component inside the deuteron, where ∆ stands for the ∆(1232) resonance, is calculated in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model of light nuclei. We obtain P (∆∆) = 0.3 %. This prediction agrees good with the experimental estimate P (∆∆) < 0.4 % at 90% of CL (D. Allasia et al., Phys. Lett. B174 (1986) 450).
