Abstract: Oxidative stress is a highly common stress for cells, which targets proteins with oxidation of cysteine residues. The thioredoxin (Trx) system, which is a ubiquitous system for thiol- and protein-repair, is composed of a thioredoxin (TrxA) and a thioredoxin-reductase (TrxB).
