Others, such as Ayoun (2013), Leclercq and Howard (2015), Forsberg Lundell (2008), Howard and Ågren (2019), and Mougeon et al (2010), have respectively drawn on French to explore specific features, such as tense-aspect-modality, collocational language, the sandhi phenomenon of liaison, and sociolinguistic competence.
