The Molecular and Electronic Structure of [ReOX₃(AsPh₃)(OAsPh₃)] Complexes (X = Cl, Br)

Abstract

New rhenium oxo-complexes [ReOX 3 (OAsPh 3 )(AsPh 3 )] ( X ¼ Cl and Br) have been synthesised and characterised by X-ray diffraction, IR, electronic and magnetochemical measurements. They were obtained in high yield in reactions between [ReOX 3 (AsPh 3 ) 2 ] and acetonitrile in air.
