“…The research demonstrates that application of Minnesota twelvestep program in treatment significantly lowered the feelings of patients' self-accusation for their alcohol addiction and increased the feelings of self-control, recovery from addiction (Morojele & Stephenson, 1992). The alcohol-addicted teenagers, who took part in Minnesota 12-step program, were surveyed: one of them completed the program, while others failed; 53% of the teenagers, who had completed the program, remained sober during the first year after treatment, while 28% of the teenagers, who had not completed the program (had terminated it earlier), remained sober during the first year after treatment (Winters & Stinchfield, 2000).…”

An additive model between SQ and SAC describes the relationship of the compensatory tradeoff of service value (Rohsenow, Niaura, Childress, Abrams, & Monti, 1990Morojele & Stephenson, 1992;Seta & Seta, 1992). It calculates service value consisting of service encounters or service stages.…”

“…Although real-world settings often contain a mixture of these models, as noted by Brickman et al (1982), and some of their aspects (e.g., the understanding of AA) have also been questioned (Morojele & Stephenson, 1992), we will use this conceptual framework to find out which ways of attributing responsibility for the onset and offset of diverse addictions predominate in different stakeholder groups of the Finnish society. The groups we are interested in are addiction treatment professionals, clients in treatment, and members of the general population.…”
