Abstract. In order to make benchmark validation of the nuclear data for gallium (Ga), tungsten (W) and beryllium (Be) in existing modern evaluated nuclear data files, neutron leakage spectra in the range from 0.8 to 15 MeV from slab samples were measured by time-of-flight technique with a BC501 scintillation detector. The measurements were performed at China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) using a D-T neutron source. The thicknesses of the slabs were 0.5 to 2.5 mean free path for 14.8 MeV neutrons, and the measured angles were chosen to be 60• and 120• . The measured spectra were compared with those calculated by the continuous energy Monte-Carlo transport code MCNP, using the data from the CENDL-3

Ti/Al multilayered composites (LMCs) with different layers were prepared by hot-pressing and hot-rolling. The effects of interface on the deep drawability of LMCs were explored. The results indicate that LMCs with more layers have a higher limit-drawing ratio (LDR) and exhibit an excellent deep drawability. The texture strength of the Ti layer gradually weakens with the increase of layers, which leads to the smaller yield ratio (σs/σb), the plastic strain ratio (r), and the larger strain hardening index (n), thus the deep drawability of LMCs with more layers is enhanced effectively. The Ti/Al interfaces in three, five, and seven layers of LMCs exhibit straight, small wave-like interlocking, and dense serrated structures at the corner of the cylindrical parts, respectively. The component metals become thinner with the increase of layers, and the increased interfacial pressure promotes the formation of an increasingly firm overlapped interfacial structure. The load transfer via the interfaces makes the stress distribution between layers more uniform with the increase of layers, which helps to coordinate deformation. Deflection and tearing occur when the cracks propagate to the interface due to the complex stress state, which hinders and delays the crack penetration, thereby improving the deep drawability of LMCs with more layers.

In this paper, Mg/Al laminated composites were successfully prepared at 400 °C by corrugated + flat rolling (CFR) with reduction ratios of 35% and 25% and subsequent annealing treatments were conducted at 200–350 °C for 30 min. A two-dimensional model was established to analyze the strain distribution during the first corrugated rolling process. Simulation results indicated that severe plastic deformation was formed at trough positions, which included more numerous refined grains than in the peak positions. The interfacial microstructure and mechanical property of the flattened composites along the rolling direction (RD) and the transverse direction (TD) were investigated. The results revealed that longitudinal discontinuous and transverse continuous interfacial intermetallic compounds (IMCs) were observed of the flattened as-rolled sample. Spatial distribution was provided for the grain microstructure along the thickness and rolling direction for AZ31B magnesium alloys of the CFR as-rolled composite. Mechanical property results showed that the longitudinal ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and elongation (EL) of the as-rolled sample reached 255 MPa and 4.14%, respectively. The as-rolled UTS along TD reached 325 MPa, about 30% higher than that along the RD. After heat treatment, the anisotropy of mechanical properties remained. The microstructure evolution and mechanical properties were discussed in detail.
