Abstract: Improving the engineering properties of A356 alloy is an appealing option for the automotive industry. This study aimed at refining and redistributing Si particles and the eutectic phase by applying T6 heat treatment to a semi-solid A356 alloy, followed by severe plastic deformation (SPD).
