Protected man-made parks of Ukrainian Polissya, created in the period of postmodernism, are conservation oriented, historical, cognitive and educational objects. Landscape design is a synthesis of traditions and new transformation trends. On the territories of protected man-made parks, natural existence and distribution of rare species are maintained, endangered and vulnerable species are protected, hydrological functions are improved, and valuable landscapes are preserved. Concentrated in Rivne region, five parks, which have the status of complex natural monuments of local significance, were created in Ukrainian Polissya in the 1960s. According to the results of the analysis of formation and development history, the transformation of complex natural monuments (CNMs) of Ukrainian Polissya for a period of over 60 years is shown. CNMs have a simple planning structure of the following types: cross-shaped ("Vysotsky Arboretum"), star-shaped ("Bilsky Arboretum", "Sarny Arboretum"), loop-shaped ("Rokytne Arboretum"), and combined ("Tryputnyansky Park"). Of the three parks with regular planning, the biggest change can be observed in the complex natural monument "Bilsky Arboretum". This is due to the growth of hedges, which are not currently formed, and to the violation of the boundaries of meadows, where self-seeding plants appear. The dendroflora of five man-made parks is represented by 157 species, which belong to 19 orders, 32 families, and 81 genera, with 111 of them being included to the IUCN Red List. In two parks during their existence, there was an increase in the number of species by 11-50%, with the number of rare tree species amounting to 50-71%. In three parks under the influence of anthropogenic and ecological factors, there was a decrease in dendrodiversity, with 55-81% of species of woody plants remaining; аmong them 71-75% are rare tree species. Protected man-made areas of Ukrainian Polissya are valuable objects that need to be further developed and protected, whereas their collections of woody plants replenished and maintained.

Purpose. Revealing of the structure and features of the nature reserve fund (NRF) of Skibovy Gorgany and the prospects for its optimization. Methods. Field, processing of environmental services` fund materials, statistical and geospatial analysis, cartographic. Results. The fund materials of environmental services have been processed, the structure has been established and specific features of Skibovy Gorgany nature reserve fund have been clarified. There are 190 objects of the nature reserve fund with total area of 62,961.3 hectares in Skibovy Gorgany. The structure of the NRF was analyzed by categories, area and number of protected objects, their level of importance and objects of protection. Brief description and a complete list of categories of the nature reserve fund are given. The list and characteristics of unique and valuable inanimate nature objects of Skibovy Gorgany as a kind of natural region of the Ukrainian Carpathians and within the nature reserve "Gorgany" are given. The problems of development are pointed out and the ways of improving the protection of valuable geomorphological objects by creating new objects and expanding the existing nature reserves of the Skibovy Gorgany NRF are suggested. Conclusions. There are few protected sites in Skibovy Gorgany, aiming to preserve valuable inanimate natural objects, especially geomorphological ones. Among the latter, within the Ukrainian Carpathians the following valuable objects should be identified: fields of stone placers and glacial boilers (сirque), large landslides and screes, rock outcrops, canyon-like areas of river valleys with rapids, mudflow cones. It could be proposed to create the Regional Landscape Park in the area of the Syvulyansky mountain range and the Rushchyna montane meadow with tract “Peklo” and the sources of the Bystritsa Solotvynska River.

The study of Palaeolithic sites as complex monuments of nature and society is necessary for the organization of their proper protection and preservation, because cultural heritage is an important part of the history of any country and its national value. There is an urgent need for reforms related to the preservation and protection of cultural heritage in Ukraine. It is also important to develop new programs of activities aimed at the protection of monuments, which would contribute to the practical implementation of norms and principles of international and national law in the field of environmental protection. Public policy and activity in the field of organization of protection of natural, cultural (including archaeological) monuments is an actual direction of modern scientific research. In addition, a significant part of the Palaeolithic sites requires special protection against damage, the establishment of a special regime of protection and use, which provides for the inviolability of the mutual location of the layers of the object. This regime excludes any economic activity that may result in damage or destruction of the object. The natural conditions of the territory, in particular the landforms, play a very important role both in the formation of settlements and in their further preservation, which is an integral part of the study of cultural heritage such as Palaeolithic sites. Morphometric analysis makes it possible to assess the landforms in terms of the attractiveness of certain places for the organization of settlements of ancient people. The purpose of this article is to analyse the main morphometric characteristics of the vicinity of the Palaeolithic sites of Bugliv group in Ternopil region, as well as to develop and present documentation for conservation (passport) of the Palaeolithic site Vanzhuliv I (Zamchysko), which is the best preserved among the Bugliv group of sites. The passport is developed for this site as a complex monument of nature and society, taking into account of the most important criteria for the organization of the protection regime, such as: type of object, scientific value, accessibility for visiting and inspection, preservation status, recommendations for use, etc. Key words: Palaeolithic sites; Bugliv Palaeolithic group; Podillya; landforms; morphometric analysis; geoinformation systems; heritage protection; certification.
