The method of hardening soil rippers by surfacing and technical-economic assessment

Abstract: The wear resistance and feasibility of applying soil rippers have been studied after surfacing for use in the clayey soil. The study illustrates laboratory and production research of standard and novel (with large grain tungsten carbide) material for manual electric arc surfacing. Hardness and wear resistance in the clayey soil have been determined. Rippers (and the components of soil cultivating machinery yield the least wear by using wear resistant materials and the comprehensive surfacing of tailing and lat… Show more

“…As an promising materials for protective-strengthening coatings, offered matrix composites based on the ternary system Fe-B-FenB, formed directly on the surface of the reinforcing parts, when it boriding in conditions of induction heating of the charge of the original composition and the various functional fillers. Coating the ternary system Fe-B-FenB formed by induction heating on the surface of the reinforcing parts when passing exothermic topochemical reaction between iron steel and boron the charge, the reaction captures the surface layer of the base-material and the reaction products form with it a single whole and characterized by smoothly changing the chemical composition of the transition at the interface base-coat which determines their high adhesion strength and durability, special properties [17,18].…”
