The Method and Model of Ecological Technology Evaluation

Abstract: In order to evaluate ecological technology scientifically, we constructed a modular “three-stage evaluation method” based on qualitative evaluation, semiquantitative evaluation and quantitative evaluation, and established the theoretical models of the four kinds of ecotechnology, such as soil and water conservation technology, desertification governance technology, rocky desertification governance technology and ecological restoration technology. We gave the quantification criteria of the first-level and secon… Show more

“…This study assumes that major types of ecotechnology considerably affect the ecological innovation goals and that the mutual influence and interaction of two technologies is the key to solving the ecological innovation problems associated with the traditional heavy industry. Related industries have used similar ideas for the research and promotion of ecotechnology [12]. Based on the expert opinion of China's shipbuilding heavy industry and empirical analysis, we identified the elements of two variables (i.e., ecotechnology and target), the internal relation between single variables, and the relation between the two variables; furthermore, we defined the internal influence law of the two variables and externalized them and verified the hypothesis of this study.…”

“…Each level, according to the expert opinion, gives the evaluative weight and score of each index. Then, through a structural quantitative model and evaluation of the impact factors of the decision-making problems, the qualitative problems are quantified, and the real problems are in decision-making [60]. However, there are often subjective abilities and other aspects of the impact in the process of practical application.…”

“…Due to the drawbacks of traditional evaluation methods, the qualitative evaluation method represented by the item-by-item evaluation method, weighted evaluation method, and expert scoring method, often are used in assessment research [24][25][26]. Experts will use their own experience to select indicators and determine the index weight, which although simple and easy to use, results in greater subjectivity [27]. Rough set theory is a data analysis tool that does not need to provide any prior information beyond the set of problems being studied, which composes a multi-index comprehensive evaluation method that is data-driven [28].…”
